Open Research Grants - Trust-aware Automatic E-Contract Negotiation in Agent-based Adaptive Normative Environments
Two Research Grants (BI), to be awarded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia and sponsored by the research project PTDC/EIA-EIA/104420/2008 – “Trust-aware Automatic E-Contract Negotiation in Agent-based Adaptive Normative Environments” (www.fe.up.pt/~eol/RESEARCH/ei.html#PTDC_EIA-EIA_104420_2008), are open for applications until April 25th 2010.
Two Research Grants (BI), to be awarded by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia and sponsored by the research project PTDC/EIA-EIA/104420/2008 – “Trust-aware Automatic E-Contract Negotiation in Agent-based Adaptive Normative Environments” (www.fe.up.pt/~eol/RESEARCH/ei.html#PTDC_EIA-EIA_104420_2008), are open for applications until April 25th 2010. The selected candidates will participate in several of the project’s tasks, with an emphasis on implementation, programming and integration.
Conditions:

- Duration: The grant will have an initial duration of 12 months (starting at May 1st 2010), and is renewable for an additional period of 18 months.
- Requirements for applicants: Bachelor, licentiate or master degree holders on Informatics Engineering, Computer Science or similar course, willing to do research on Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, and preferably with development experience in this domain.
- Activity Goals and Scientific Supervision: The grantee will be integrated within the scientific research activity of NIAD&R, doing research and developing on the subjects of interaction, negotiation, contracting and trust and reputation in Multi-Agent Systems in the domain of Electronic Business (Electronic Institutions).
- Activity Regime and Stipend: According to the Regulations for Advanced Training and Qualification of Human Resources of Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (http://alfa.fct.mctes.pt/apoios/bolsas/regulamento.phtml.en).
- Applications: Candidates should deliver an application letter, together with a detailed Curriculum Vitae, certified transcripts showing all academic degrees awarded, and at most 2 letters of reference.
- Evaluation and Selection Criteria: Quality of Curriculum Vitae, interview, capacity of teamwork and motivation to participate in the project.
- Application Period: From April 3rd till April 25th 2010.
